In the innovation project "Sustainable haulm control", the development of new solutions for haulm reduction was addressed in order to make potato cultivation in Hesse and beyond in Germany sustainable under the changed agronomic and political framework conditions. The project pursued the goal of showing alternative ways to chemical standard siccation by means of Deiquat through the comparative investigation of several process technologies for haulm control.
